Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology has partnered with a new online bookstore provider, Akademos/Textbookx.com. LWIT now offers a virtual bookstore and marketplace that delivers course material to students at a reasonable price and in a timely manner.
Akademos/Textbookx.com works with LWIT to ensure students order correct, course-specific books. When students order from other vendors, they risk ordering the wrong edition of a textbook. All course materials are organized by instructor and course name. LWIT students can browse the full course list to ensure they order exactly what they need for each course.
Below are some of the many features and advantages of shopping on the new Online Bookstore:
- Students save an average of 60% off list price when shopping on the Marketplace – these prices are comparable to those on Amazon!
- Students can enjoy free shipping offers on most retail orders over $49 (this does not include orders placed on the Marketplace)!
- School-issued financial aid-vouchers can be applied to all orders.
- New, Used, and eBook options (when available) are shown side-by-side so students can choose the book that best fits their needs.
- Students can sell their book(s) back on the Marketplace at anytime throughout the year!

School supplies other than textbooks are available at our on-campus school store. Please visit us upstairs in Building 1.
Our hours are:
Monday through Thursday 7:45 am - 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Friday 7:45 am - 2:00 pm - Closed for lunch 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
We accept Visa and MasterCard and Discover Cards, checks and cash.
